At the foot of Montana’s Tobacco Root Mountains lives Jake Herak – a full throttle houndsman who lives to hunt the most dangerous predators in Big Sky Country. Born and raised in Montana, Jake arrived in the Ruby Valley as a teenager, and soon developed a passion for running hounds and chasing mountain lions high into the most treacherous backcountry terrain. His talent for pursuing lions eventually snowballed into a full-blown winter vocation, chasing problem cats off the valley ranch lands, away from vulnerable livestock, and back into the mountains where they belong. Over the years, Jake and his pack have caught hundreds of lions, but every time he turns the dogs loose… anything can happen.
