Peter has had a love of all things outdoors for as long as he can remember. His favorite memories from childhood are going camping and fishing with his dad, and playing in the woods behind his grandparent’s house.

Discovering a book on bushcraft and survival skills when he was 12 launched an insatiable pursuit of wilderness knowledge and bushcraft skills which ultimately led to him to apply to be a contestant on Alone.

Peter and his family recently made the move to the West Kootenays of British Columbia to be able to spend more time with his family outdoors, and enjoy the opportunities nature provides.

When not in the woods, you can find Peter on the jiu jitsu mats, playing a game of chess, working in his woodshop or relaxing on his deck reading a book.

Peter couldn’t embark on this great adventure without the support of his amazing wife and two great kids.
