Dub Paetz

Season 11

Age: 44

Hometown: Frederic, MI

Profession: Wilderness Skills Practitioner

Waldemar “Dub” Paetz IV was born in Michigan and has enjoyed the outdoors from a very young age. He is a fifth generation fly fisherman and hunting addict. Dub spent over 15 years as a fly fisherman and waterfowl hunting guide in Southeast Idaho, allowing him to hone his skills at a very high level.

Dub is a middle child and has 3 sisters: Angel, Faith and Bridgette; who’ve all enjoyed the outdoors from a very young age, too. His mother Sandra is a retired homicide detective, currently living in central Michigan with his father Waldemar Paetz III, whose legacy of adventure courses through his children’s veins.

Dub’s long history of hunting, fishing and trapping spans generations. With each adventure, he has honed his skills, channelling ancient instincts to become one with the wilderness. Now, as the winds of destiny carry him into a fierce competition, he carries the weight of his heritage. His years of practice are a silent promise that he is prepared to confront the Arctic’s challenging remote expanse.
