Correy Hawk
Season 7Age: 30
Hometown: Plattsmouth, NE
Profession: Traditional Bowyer
Correy was born in Southeast Nebraska where he was raised to hunt, fish and forage for wild foods and navigate in the wilderness. He spent a lot of time outdoors with his family and was taught to respect the land and all the creatures that call it home. Correy comes from a long line of accomplished bow hunters. His father had a bow and arrows in his hand as soon as he was old enough to understand their utility.
His early adult years led him away from archery to pursue other interests, and he eventually joined the United States Marine Corps. Correy greatly enjoyed his time in the Marines and served two combat tours in Afghanistan as a Vehicle Recovery Operator with the 1st Marine Regiment. After returning home to Nebraska, he became fascinated with traditional archery. He now owns Organic Archery, where he works full time as a bowyer specializing in primitive longbows and wooden arrows.
Correy is still immersed in all of the pastimes on which he was raised and spends most of his free time exploring, hunting, foraging and sharpening his traditional skills. He is taking the Alone experience as a rite of passage. It’s a chance to put a lifetime of training to the test, and he hopes to learn from it and connect more with Mother Nature. Correy aims to discover a better version of himself and purify his soul.
