A Master Tinkerer, Alfred has been restoring antiques with gears, coin slots or strings since he was a teenager, and loves anything with a mechanism. He forages flea markets, antique shops and even junkyards for items to revive—from vintage toy trains to coin-operated machinery and old radios to electric guitars. He’s also a talented musician and gets a huge satisfaction hearing the working sound his restorations make once the job is complete.
