Blue Nelson
Blue is a professional cultural resource manager. What does that mean? It means holds a dual degree in archaeology and anthropology, and seeks to analyze and protect historic artifacts here in America and abroad. His research specialties include African American archaeology and historic race relations. He has worked primarily in the Southeastern U.S., which he believes is a goldmine for some of the most beautiful artifacts on the planet.
Amongst his peers, Blue is affectionately called “The Dirt Beast,” because he loves fieldwork and prefers to get his hands dirty. Blue is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, and is currently involved in a project with the Department of Defense to find and identify the remains of soldiers missing in action from various worldwide conflicts. He hopes to personally provide answers to questions the families of those service members may have about the last days of their loved ones.
