After enduring nearly a month alone, deep in the Canadian wilderness, hunger and isolation take their toll. Naomi nets a surprising boost to her chances of winning but finds the long-term separation from her young son increasingly hard to bear. Tom’s fishing failures cause an unexpected injury. Meanwhile, Alan is desperate to snare a meal that will help him stay in the competition. Elise attempts to channel the “warrior queens from the past,” but her depleted mental and physical state leads to danger. One by one, day by day, they tap out of the competition, until only one person remains to become the overall winner. Six months later, we revisit some of the competitors and hear how their experience alone in the wilderness has changed their lives.
