About
America’s “Supermax” prisons are supposed to be inescapable fortresses, designed to keep the worst of the worst safely locked away from society. But with enough time, preparation, we show what convicts are capable of pulling off. This two-hour special features a blow-by-blow account of the recent breakout of escaped killers Richard Matt and David Sweat from Clinton Correctional Prison in upstate New York, as it was experienced and investigated by US Marshalls and other officials on the case. But it also takes a look at some of the most strategic escapes in American history.
