For the past 3 years, Mark “The Professor” Romano has hosted the weekly radio program, “The Gunslinger Hour,” currently on KRLA 870 AM Radio Los Angeles, and the YouTube program, “ Epic Guns.”

He is currently the co-host of the History Channel’s “Mountain Men; Ultimate Marksman” show.

Born in a small town in ranch country on the central California coast, Mark grew up riding, roping and shooting. He is NOT, as the cowboys say, “All hat, and no saddle.” He has been the official instructor for S.A.S.S., the Single Action Shooting Society, the German Shooting Sports Federation, and the European Cowboy Championships. Taking his alias from the seminal American writer, Frederick Jackson Turner, Mark is also a State, National, and World Cowboy Action shooting champion.

His extensive shooting experience includes flintlocks, percussion rifles, cap and ball pistols, and extends to modern firearms such as the Thompson submachine gun and the fully auto M-4 carbine.

He is the Arizona State Wild Bunch Senior Champion, and the California State Wild Bunch Champion.

He runs the pro shop and is the head instructor at American Gun Works, in Glendale, California. He also rides motorcycles, enjoys offshore sailing, and is occasionally a pirate.
