Dub Paetz

Season 11

Age: 44

Hometown: Frederic, MI

Profession: Wilderness Skills Practitioner

Waldemar ‘Dub’ Paetz IV was born in Michigan and has enjoyed the outdoors from a very young age. He is a fifth-generation fly fisherman and hunting addict. Dub spent over 15 years as a fly fishing and waterfowl hunting guide in Southeast Idaho, allowing him to hone his outdoor skills at a very high level.

Dub is a middle child and has 3 sisters: Angel, Faith, and Bridgette; who’ve all enjoyed the outdoors from a very young age. His mother, Sandra, is a retired homicide detective, currently living in central Michigan with his father, Waldemar Paetz III, whose legacy of adventure courses through his children’s veins.

Dub’s long history of hunting, fishing and trapping spans generations. With each adventure, he has refined his skills, channeling ancient instincts to become one with the wilderness. After years of practice and dreaming about competing on Alone, the day has finally come to test himself against the Arctic’s challenging expanse.
